grin. it used to be a liquor bottle. i cut the bottom off, popped in a bulb and plug-voila! you have a lamp! thats where the name bottlebroke comes from. there's a tutorial on how to do it on the blog if you're interested. click on the label "bottlebroke", it pulls em all up.

genius!! after i realized this was a lamp i thought you must have come across it on some quaint beach..:D that you actually cut the bottle yourself is something! my mother used to get bottles cut and use them to grow money plants.. but i never got anyone to cut a perfect shape.. following the tutorial just now..

lol. thanks gauri! this was taken at the first major sale of my work. the stalls were set up like beach shacks.

i've never got a "perfect shape" yet. this method depends on the bottle and how it reacts-i have rarely been able to predict exactly how it would come out.
